Access belongs to everyone

Deaf, DeafBlind, and low-vision access.

We want our website and the performances we support to be easier to see, understand, navigate, and enjoy.

Website accessibility

Built for different ways of accessing information.

Adjust the display

Use the Display button on every page to enlarge text, increase contrast, or reduce motion. Your choices stay on this device.

Use your own tools

The site supports browser zoom, keyboard navigation, screen readers, and other assistive technology. Text and controls reflow as the page is enlarged.

Clear visual information

We use readable type, strong color contrast, visible keyboard focus, descriptive headings, and text alternatives for meaningful images.

Performance access

Tell the venue what helps you access the show.

Access needs differ from person to person. When requesting accommodations, tell the venue if you need ASL interpreting, close visual access, preferred seating or sightlines, tactile interpreting coordination, or another accommodation.

The venue is responsible for confirming available accommodations. The HeArd can collaborate with venues on performance-interpreting needs.
